Bank Robber Red – BIG Red Blend
A criminally good blend of Walla Walla grown Merlot & Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet and a touch of Grenache and Petite Verdot. Quite a bit of aromatics of dark plum and black cherry with a deep body combined with light tannins on the finish. A wine you will remember.
Food Pairing: Very versatile when it comes to food pairing including steaks, Poultry, pork, pastas, salads – Bank Robber Red can handle them all well.
Winemaker’s Notes: Our flagship wine is named for the woman who took the town’s money to win back her husband (it didn’t work). The ‘bank robber’ stories are good, but the wine is better! This wine is blended from several vineyard sites in the Walla Walla Valley. This blend is made to be a big, but smooth wine that you can enjoy by itself or with food. I make each version of Bank Robber a different blend ratio depending on how the vintages of the Cab and Merlot wines are working together in the cellar. Then I painstakingly blend and work on the tannin structure to make sure it is rich but remains velvety on the finish. 60% Merlot, 37% Cabernet, 3% Grenache/Petite Verdot.
